Welcome to WW. URL's are not allowed in posts from non-authority sites. You need to remove that or the mods will.

I would not recommend using flash as your intro page. It may look cool to you and random people that you show your site off to but in reality it is a site killer. You can use a little bit of flash as a head or a small portion of your front page but you need to make sure your front page can exist without it. Some people have it turned off and some people will leave when they see an all-flash intro. And please don't use sound. Some people are at work or in a situation that sound coming out of their computer is a bad thing. Yes they should have their speakers turned off but people forget and don't expect their pc to just start playing sound without their permission.

There is a tutorial on macromedia.com how to construct a loading progress bar. Basically you load your data in a frame before the start of the movie, and based on the state of framesLoaded you determine whether to go to the starting frame of the movie.
