flash problem

I m getting the following error msgs when i run my flash movie

"Statement must appear within on/onClipEvent handler"

even though i have deleted the specified error functions, it still displays whenever i run the movie.

Please help

Double click the error in the output window. It will take you right to the object containing the statement.

ya it does , but on that error pointed line, i dont have any code

Do you have code that comes before where it brings you?
