How to re-create the menu used by Apple

Hi,
I'd like to re-create (not copy) the functionality of the menu that apple uses on its start page at apple.com/startpage (left side itunes menu)

Any suggestions as to how to go about it? I've googled every possible combination of descriptive terms, and have come up with nada...

That menu isn't created in flash, it is javascript and html.
