Validating Flash insert

I work on a school website and have added in two flash slideshows. The page is HTML strict. The flash files fail validation. The files have been processed by Dreamweaver and there does not seem to be a facility there to get them validation proof.

Can anyone point/give me to some advice on getting these changed so they validate and become accessible?

< sorry, no personal urls >

Thanks.

the <embed> tag is deprecated for strict, so you will probably have to use transitional if you want to use that tag and validate.

I don't think <embed> will validate using 4.01 transitional, either. A List Apart offers a solution - but there is something about Webamsterworld that scrambles the domain when I load it here. However, if you remove the gap between 'a' and 'list'
http://www.a listapart.com/articles/byebyeembed
gets you there.

All that said, whilst invalid, <embed> seems to work on all browsers, and I think it will be a long time before it won't.

Look for something called the "Flash Satay Method"...
