Strange IE Media Player Issue

Media player hangs

I am having an issue with my Flash media player that is driving me nuts. I have tried to figure it out for the past few days with no success, so I am desperately seeking anyone's help on this.

This is a flash music player which loads content(mp3 info) dynamically from a SQL Server database. The player is launched in a seperate popup window. Now if I play a track and close the popup window before the track finishes playing.... I am unable to get the track to play again when I launch the media player window again. Hope that makes sense. The odd thing is, it only happens in IE. It works perfectly in Firefox.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Running out of ideas here.
