... to make Flash files more search engine friendly?

I'm one of the many who spends time explaining to clients about the non-search-engine-friendliness of Flash. I know Macromedia even says on its web site something about Flash and the search engine issues it has.

For those of you who live in the Flash world: Is Macromedia doing anything about this? Can they do anything about it? Will future versions of Flash enable Flash developers to somehow make the swf files more SE-friendly?

It is not Macromedia that is the problem. They released an SDK over a year ago that will let spiders index flash files. Fast implemented it. Google did not. Macromedia wants to get Flash more accessable. Unfortunetly most indexing companies don't feel it is worth it. Indexing Flash links is all Google really wants to do.
