movie continues playing from where the page was refreshed

Hi,

I have one of the standard design solutions - top panel contains a movie that plays continually. The movie contains nav menu.

Is it possible that the movie continues playing from the frame where the whole page was reloaded (after clicking a link in nav menu)?

In a standards xhtml page when a user clicks a link, the whole movie plays f r o m t h e s t a r t (which is logical since the request is renewed) but here I need it to continue playing from the specific point - from where the whole page was refreshed/reloaded. I'd like to achieve sense of continuance in the movie.

I know that by using shared objects you can sense out that the movie HAS already played and prevent it from playing again. I cannot adapt this solution to my case though.
