optimizing my flash movie

Hi,

I need help lowering the load time on my website

Does anybody have any tip for making my flash movie load faster?

Right now, I have an embedded flash movie for the background music which is taking too long to load as well. I am going to put a flash player in which should make the mp3 load faster using a php or asp script, but in the meantime, what can I do to make both the song and the flash movie on the right side load faster?

Don't embed the sound file in your swf. Make it stream in. Get the first frame to load images, then in subsequent frames load a streaming sound into the player. It will otherwise wait for the whole thing to load before showing anything. Just search streaming in the help file of Flash.

I'm in the music area, too. Your site looks nice, but my first thought was what do they DO? Going by your name I thought maybe you make sample CDs or something else. Don't let your swf be the only thing that tells potential clients what you do. Plus, search engines may not find it as easily. They would pick up the albums you list, not music production facility. Put a description in html somewhere.
