Hey there,

I am new to this board. I need some advices.

I designed a site using photoshop. Now i want to

add some tunning effects to it by re-doing it using

flash. The site will be 100% in flash including

menu bars and navigation buttons......

Can anyone tell me what's the procedure to

this? I imported the sliced graphics from photoshop

itno flash, what shall i do next?

IF you have some good idears , please spare your

experience.

Thanks a lot.

I am no expert on this topic but allow me to share a discovery I made.

I made the transition into flash about three years ago and was thinking in this same way - design in P.S. and bring it in to Flash.

The more I did this, the more I found myself "tracing" things over in the vectored Flash environment.

Sooner or later, you will come to the realization that if you want it in Flash - it is going to be lighter weight, faster loading, and just downright Feng Shui if you build it ALL in Flash, using bitmap images ONLY if required to achieve a photographic effect. Any drawing work, including blends, transparencies, and masking, can be done in Flash as vectored work.

This allows you to be QUICKER in Photoshop, knowing you're just creating a "rough" to be traced or used as a guide for layout.

IMO - do not create an **entire** flash site navigation, you need plain text and links for those that elect not to use Flash and search engines. Additionally what I find WORST about using Flash to navigate is all the ordinary tools I like to use - for example, right-click and open in a new window, the status bar of the browser on mouse-over - are not present with Flash navigation. They can be made to work, but usually arent.
