Up to now we have been including short FLV video clips in HTML pages created in Dreamweaver.
This has been done simply be 'inserting Flash media' into the areas of the web page, uploading the FLV to the server etc.
Now, I think we may need to consider streaming FLV using a host which provides a Flash Communication Server.
In simple terms, I wonder if somebody could tell us how the process of 'inserting' video via a dedicated, streaming server differs from our simple method for using video clips.
For example, what do we 'insert' into the web page. Is it a placeholder? How is the video hosted - is it a case of uploading the FLV material to the Comms Server and linking this to the target area of the web page?
Any basic help and observations on practical experiences of using this kind of solution would be very useful.
Thanks in advance.
