How to keep track of flash plays?

I have a client who wants to play sample sounds on their website through a simple flash movie with play and stop buttons, and they want to be able to see how many times that sound has been played.

I'm new to flash and don't know how I can keep track of "Play" clicks.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You could create a database and update a field every time there is a click.
