My setting at my computer for whatever reason do not allow the downloading of Flash, it says I have version 7.something installed which isnt true as I uninstalled it by mistake, I tried but unsuccessfully to find an installer I could download and run but all I can turn up is redirects to adobes site which once again will not download to my computer.

Whiskey tango foxtrot, any help would be much appreciated.

PS Im on windows xp using IE, this was my companies choice not my own personally I use firefox/opera/safari depending on which computer Im on.

PPS Im new here but not to msg boards so Ive already tried the 'sire search' button.

Welcome to Webmaster World, rambag3.

Offhand it sounds like the unintentioanl uninstall wasn't completed. Try one of Adobe's uninstall programs [adobe.com], being sure to close down any other program that might have a hook into Flash.

welcome to WebmasterWorld ..

I have stickied you a link to a complete standalone installer for macromedia Flash Player 9.0.16.0 ( ie version only ) for windows Windows 98/Me/2000/XP/2003 Server ..

I cannot post the link direct here due to TOS ..

I suggest you explore the site in the link and bookmark it for future use ..and keep the main URL in a separate text file or written down in case you ever lose your bookmarks ( such things happen ;-) ..
