Flash links + IE7

links won't open in a new window

In IE7 only, links in Flash that are set to open a new browser window using target="_blank" don't open a new browser window, they load in the same window. Is this a known issue w/IE 7? Does anyone have a workaround?

Does IE7 have the same option like firefox?

to choose if you want to open new links in a new window or a new tab or the same window?

could it be overriding "your" choices?

just an idea

Yeah it has the following set as defaults:

Enabled tabbed browsing (on)
Enable Quick Tabs (on)
Open new tabs next to the current tab (on)

When a pop-up is encountered:
Always open pop-ups in a new window

Open links from other programs in:
A new tab in the current window

It's not opening in new tabs/new window though- it's loading the page in the same window :(

Well is there a 'fix' for this problem with IE? I disabled tabs, and my flash links work again. However, we provide a web based training service, and making all users disable tabs seems like a bad option ( although shame on them for using IE 7 I guess). Thanks.
