Hey there,

Using a "Dynamic Textbox" with a instance name of 'pText' and a "MovieClip" with a instance name of 'bar' ("MovieClip" is a horizontal bar with a left Registration Point).

How can I make a Preloader for a XML file that scales the 'bar' from left to right and 'pText' shows the percentage loaded?

If you could please show me the code and/or explain how its done that would be fantastic!

how large is your xml? you shouldn't need to preload a xml load as even a very large xml file will only take a second or so to load. You use preloaders for heavy flash or images.

ox is completely correct......having a preloaded while an xml loads is 'overkill' imo.....if you want, place the word 'loading' in the text filed...then when the xml loads it will overwrite it....my guess is, you may not even see the word 'loading' since the xml loads so fast.
