Optimizing a CD-ROM Developed In Flash

I've created a CD-ROM in Flash that includes FLVs, MP3s, and many SWF files. So far it's up to about 450MB.

It seems to play back a lot slower off of a CD-ROM that it does locally.

Are there specific techniques to optimize playback off of a CD-ROM?

Are there resources on the Web for developing CD-ROMs in Flash?

There isn't much you can do. Flash wasn't created to offer multimedia contents on cd-roms. It was created for Web delivery. Director is a better choice for cd-roms, but that's another story.

The animation...reaction to button clicks?

How much of the 450mb are you loading up at once?

-my main problem is the page turn effect I'm using which can be found here: [iparigrafika.hu...]

It's so slow on older machines that I think I need to offer an alternative navigation. That said, if anyone has an idea for how i can work a toggle button to deactivate the page turn effect while still maintaining navigability I would greatly appreciate it.
