Does anyone know how to make a grid in Fireworks 6 MX that gradually fades? Thanks.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Freelancer,

I would suspect you would do it like you would in PhotoShop. Make a grid on one layer in a contrasting color. Select the grid color and delete it so you can see through the layer. Then add a layer behind it with the needed gradient. You could also apply a gradient to the grid instead of deleting it.

Hello Freelancer,

Another way to create a quick, clean gradient grid is to:

-1- Select the rectangle tool and establish the size of your grid

-2- Change the fill options to "Linear"

-3- Add the "Hatch 1" texture and set the texture amount to your desired level

-4- Fiddle with the opacity level

Certainly not the only way to reach the desired effect, but it may help. There are also some neat grid textures available in Fireworks MX you may want to check out.
