add flash intro as index to web site

I have made a great flash intro, using vision blazer, that I would like to add to my website as an intro but I don't known how to do it. I already create a skip intro to go to the home page also. Any Idea? Thank You in advance

Ok. I already did that, the flash is already in the website, but the problem is I don't know how to play it as an intro, meaning each time someone visit the site it has to press skip intro to enter. like this one <snip>

On the last frame of the Flash movie put the action getURL() with the page you want to call.

what is getURL()?

getURL() is how you make links to pages outside of your Flash movie.
[macromedia.com...]

You bind the action to an event and it calls the web page like a link.

Did you software come with any tutorials to go through? It sounds like a problem that's probably covered somewhere in a tutorial or manual...

You may wish to reconsider the use of a flash intro on your site. As mentioned on UseIt.com [useit.com], "Splash pages were an early sin of abusive Web design. Luckily, almost all professional websites have removed this usability barrier. However, we're now seeing the rise of Flash intros that have the same obnoxious effect: They delay users' ability to get what they came for." Intros have been so annoyingly overused in the past that they've even inspired parodies [skipintro.nl].

Personaly when I see a splashpage with a intro movie, I try to find the "skip intro button" asap ;)

What really, really irks me, is site developers who put the skip intro link inside the embedded flash. Until recently, I hadn't installed flash in Firebird (because I didn't want it), so I couldn't physically get the next page, without guesswork.

I know this is aside from the original topic, but moaning about a single design flaw doesn't merit a new topic. :)

I agree- you should always put the SKIP INTRO or SKIP FLASH physically above or below the actual flash file - so it's in the HTML. Generally, people want to skip if they have a slow connection- If the SKIP is IN the Flash file, they still have to wait for the thing to load!

As for the Get URL
go to the last frame - Open ACTIONS panel - Get URL - enter the address of the front page eg [somewebsite.com...]
