Hi, I have a very small swf movie on my page and the background of it is white. Is there a way to change it to the .gif that is the background for the rest of the page?
Thanks
Lisa

Since no one else has answered I'll try help.

To edit a flash movie you need the .fla file. I think there are programs that will create a .fla file from a .swf but i'm not sure. The normal procedure is that you create movies in .fla and then export the .swf not the other way around.

Once you have the .fla file you just open it with FlashMX, goto the background layer and change the color with the paint bucket.

You could also look at using swish. It has a free trial I believe. You do really need the fla like stated above so that background layer can be created.

I have all that and created the movie with the .fla however the only background option is a color there is no option for a picture. Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

You need to put it on a new layer and send it to the back. Move the layer that the images in on up or down (can't remember what is back and foward) on the timeline.

In the "Publish Setting" window under the HTML tab, set "Window Mode" to "Transparent Windowless".
