It keeps erasing my posts on some forums

How do I disable the backspace button as being used as the back button in Firefox? Driving me nuts!

Upgrade to 1.5? It caches the DOM now so all textareas (etc) should retain whatever you've typed.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051117 Firefox/1.5

Didn't know about that but no...it's not caching squat. I don't have the problem on WebmasterWorld (the vast majority of any posting I do online is here) but other places I do including my own site.

There is an extension called Keyconfig for Firefox which after installing, restarting Firefox, and then click tools menu and then Keyconfig... it was the second option (second back).

I'm working to find code to disable backspace in all browsers as an option for registered users (by default) on my site for pages with forms where this issue arises.
