Heads up:

Upon after this most recent update of the Firefox browser, downloading screenshots from Twitter (X) is no longer allowed (with standard security configs in place).

In order to allow downloading of screenshots from Twitter (X) I had to go into the settings and allow *dangerous downloads* -- I am now able to download the screenshots I want from Twitter (X).

Mozilla has seemingly become more paranoid lately.

An Update:

My tech editor in Melbourne came up with a fix for this:

Go into your Firefox and set it back to block Dangerous Downloads, then go back up in the settings and set your Enhanced Tracking Protection to “Strict”

Refresh all of your opened tabs

Once your tabs have refreshed, reset your Enhanced Tracking Protection back to Standard and refresh your tabs again.

You should then be able to download your screenshot from X

I'll still leave the personal blog post (on my site) I wrote about this up with her fix included in case someone else comes along with the same problem.

"Paranoid" and that's fair enough if people don't have good protection on their system.
