Does anyone else have this issue? On 3 different machines the sound is fine however the picture freezes after a couple of seconds, Chrome is fine.

Since Firefox is strengthening privacy protection, sandboxing, isolation, etc... this breaks some sites, tools, script, libraries, etc... May be this is it. (or not). I live Firefox, been using it since always, but, since one year, I moved to Edge (on Windows), and Chromium (on Linux), because it became too much difficult to browse the web with Firefox now.

A few months ago I said that FF was much slower at starting and this is across all devices now, it seems to be ok once up and running on desktops and laptops but on mobile I now use Opera or DDG browsers all the time. Edge is always fantastic on my Win 10 mobiles and I still use my Lumia 1520 on a regualr basis.

I don't remember having any problems with FF and iPlayer.

Pub talk in my area is that many are having FF / iPlayer freezing therefore I decided to experiment and it would appear to be a lack of sufficient RAM on those specific machines.

Ahhh, yes, the old problem of how FF handles memory. The best thing they can do is to flush the memory and it should work.
