Which Browser is Best? Chrome vs. Firefox vs. Internet Explorer

Chrome spent several years as PCMag Editor's Choice, but it's been surpassed in speed and features, and it has sunk to a three-way tie for second place as former favorite Firefox has reasserted its lead.

This reads more like an opinion piece than a technical review, but it's interesting to see these people pushing Firefox when trends show that Chrome is gobbling up market share.

The trends showing Chrome "gobbling up" market share are mainly due to Adobe Flash updates. The already checked checkbox to download Chrome and make it the default browser were discussed a few months back.

They may have increased the market share of Chrome, but it was done in a tricky fashion that most people probably didn't notice when they upgraded their Flash version on their computer.

Most of the users who would fall for that trick probably don't update their Flash all that often either. ;)

Google has done a lot of marketing for Chrome. It's not all surreptitious installs that are gaining them this lead.
