I hope they fixed the problems with the high amount memory consumed... Until then, I stick with Chrome. :)

We ran our own tests to confirm what ArsTechnica and CNET both found. Firefox 3.6 uses less memory than IE8.

The update took a few seconds and no issues on restart. On one old box 500MB Ram and a Celeron with WinXP; Firefox runs fine, no memory issues.
I think people with too many open applications in their Toolbar area may have issues.

Security, huh? Firefox is crashing on one of my PCs sevral times a day, like a clock. blue screen of death. Win XP, Athlon 64 bit Dual Core. Has been like this since version 2.

IMHO, nowadays the biggest security hole WRT Firefox is the Google integration. And that hole seems to grow for every release.
I have officially stopped upgrading Firefox. I let my other security tools do the security work, and let my browser do the browsing only.
