So I just did the 3.6 Firefox update on my XP box, and now my personas don't work and anytime I try to drag a tab to reorder my tabs it crashes right away before the animation for moving the tabs even starts..

I have done system and software restarts and it is persisting.

Is there a way to "degrade" the browser back?

Anyone else having these issues?

Well it looks like it is crashing because of my little multi-desktop util that I run. It was written about 9 years ago by someone I know and works great but more and more I find stuff breaking when I use it.

My personas still don't work though.

You can uninstall FF. It will give you the option to retain your settings (so you won't lose your addons and extensions.) Do an uninstall and then re-install the software. That has helped with a lot of my crashing issues in the past.

Demaestro, it has been happening.

My 3.6 Firefox is crashing CONSISTENTLY on simple video things, like scrolling, or actions that are "too quick".. Consistently I mean 2-3 times per day. Windows blames video driver, no other software or IE browser doesn't crash.

It was happening since 2.0, I think, nothing is fixed. They just failed to find this bug.

Here's info if Firefox people ever want to look for it: Windows XP Pro, SP3, AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core, Radeon Gigabyte Video card, 2 GB of RAM. How to reproduce, click pages and scroll mouse immediately.

Sometimes I even leave computer idle overnight, and come back in the morning and it crashed...

I did confirm it on my second computer, it crashes with Firefox too (also Win XP), but not as often as mine (it is not being abused as much either).

Demaestro, try removing web developer toolbar plugin (if you have one). For me reduced crashes significantly in the last several days. Still got one or two, but nothing like it used to.
