Yep and my Zone Alarm immediately blocked it Net access!
I had to manually authorise permission, never had to do that before.

I have FF 3.5 on Windows Vista and when Firefox stops working and I reopen it,the pages are not immediately restored as in the prior version. I get a RestoreSession page where I choose what pages and what tabs I want restored. Does FF 3.5.5 eliminate that page so that all my pages are immediately restored like it used to or is this a particular problem that I have?

1 Vista machine has upgraded ok, 2 Vista and 4 XP have all had to be manually authorised with Zone Alarm...why?

You might want to check to see that Zone Alarm is properly installed and configured on the machine that did not require re-authorization. Whenever any program changes, ZA is supposed to detect that and ask you for re-authorization. This is because the program may have changed because of either a user-approved upgrade or a hack.

on the machine that did not require re-authorization.
That machine had the normal re-authorisation procedure whereas all the others I had to go into Program Control > Programs and manually accept Trust Level and Access.

Well, that sounds like Windows' ACL settings, not Zone Alarm. Take a look at the policies with Policy Editor, maybe?

I lost ZA a long time ago, more trouble that its worth. My blue screen of death problem was down to it earlier this year.
