Firefox Fennec beta now available.

[informationweek.com...]

For me, this is very good news. The site I am developing will be highly targeting mobile users as well as desktop users. What I like the most is the same javascript engine as the next release of their desktop browser. Plus, many extentions can be ported to this browser as well.

Initially looks to be a big step in the right direction.

[blog.mozilla.com...]

The above URL states

... TraceMonkey work will be available for testing in the next alpha release of Fennec (the code name for Firefox Mobile) by enabling a configuration setting ...

FYI... don't look for it to run initially after install, turn it on in the alpha release to use it.

Indeed. But:

Fennec initially won't be available for BlackBerry, Android, or iPhone users because of licensing or technical reasons.

... a long way ahead...
