Copy and Cruise Install?

One thing I love about Opera is that after you put it on a machine, you can just copy the directory to a flash drive and then copy that directory to a new machine - no "install" needed. Just copy and cruise.

Can you do similar with FireFox and the dozens of required addon modules? I just tried and it crashed over-n-over on the new machine. I figured their had to be an easy way of doing it.

Check out Portable Firefox [portablefirefox.mozdev.org]. I'm not sure about whether the add-ons will all work; It will depend on whether they correctly partitioned the execution and data spaces in the individual add-on designs.
