I use an apple, and ocassionally i will bookmark web pages in FireFox. I had a bunch saved up, then I went there the other day and POOF - they are all gone!

Where did they go, and how can I bring them back?

Glitches happen. Always wise to backup your bookmarks.

Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > File > Export

Firefox keeps several days worth of bookmark backups. They're saved in your profile.

Unfortunately, all I know is the path on a PC, but maybe it will help: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile_name>\bookmarkbackups

On my machine, this directory contains five days worth of bookmark backup files.

How about using Foxmarks? That way, if your browser or computer crashes you've still got your bookmarks online.
