FF - address bar auto tld

In opera, you can just type in google and it adds the .com or www on the front as you specfiy.

Anyway to do that in FF?

Control + enter is my favourite way to do this (no waiting for the DNS lookup).

'Domain guessing' is enabled by default in firefox, but so is keyword searching in the address bar which overrides it I think. In about:config, disable keyword.enabled to prevent this. browser.fixup.alternate contains the settings for address bar tld guessing.
