font problems while printing from firefox

hello,

when printing from firefox i get squares instead of characters.
there is no problem to see the characters on the screen.
the problem occurs when printing.

anyone with a solution ?

Some printers need to have their own sets of fonts installed. Could that be it? If the font you name is not in such a printer's font substitution table, then you have trouble. If the printer's font-substitution table can also have a problematic entry.

There's a lot of information in this little back corner of technology. A search on "printer fonts" will give you doorway into this particular rabbit hole.

i can print the same data to the same printer if i use internet explorer.
besides i tried to print in different fonts and also in 2 options
1- using the forced fonts from the website
2- using default fonts from firefox
all my experiences gave the same result,squares instead of characters.

can it be another reason ?
