javascripting disabled - how to enable

i have a firefox version 1.0.4 my browser java scrapting is disable i go to tools-->options-->webfeatureas-->checked Enable java Script and java Scripting.

but java Scripting do not enable i should i do please help me

Are you sure you're still using a version of FF that's that old?

On version 2.0.0.11 you control Java & JavaScript from

the latest FF version is now firefox 2.0.0.12 [en-us.www.mozilla.com] and i wouldn't count on anything working in firefox 1.0.x...

also, there is a difference between java and javascript, so make sure you aren't confusing the two.
