Mozilla Firefox Proxy Problems

I am having trouble with my Mozilla Firefox....

There is no problem with my Internet Explorer, but when I open up Mozilla Firefox, it gives me:

ALERT
The connection was refused when attempting to contact the proxy server you have configured. Please check your proxy settings and try again.

I am wondering what to do, I have tried to re-install, but the same happens. Thanks in advance!

Do you use a proxy at all? Whatever, go to Preferences, General, Connection Settings and see what's configured. If neccessary, compare it to your proxy settings in IE. If you're not using a proxy, then just make sure you've selected "Direct Connection to the Internet".

Thanks, I chose the "Direction Connection to the Internet", and it seems to be working.
