In v.2.0 there are very few options...
When I click the "HOME" button on the browser it opens a new tab every time (very annoying).
There does not appear to be an option or combination of options to tell it to stay in the same tab.
Anyone else seeing this or did I get flaky copy?
A few things to try:
Disable all extensions and 3rd-party themes. If that helps, enable them one-at-a-time to identify the problem.
Remove, then re-install the "Home" button.
If that fails, remove FireFox/2.0 and re-install it. Your bookmarks and preferences will be preserved (unless something is seriously wrong -- you might want to make a backup of them).

Hi Jim,
Nothing but FF installed. Fresh copy of FF-2.0 (DL'd from www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ ), and installed on machine with a fresh copy of WIN-XP.
Remove, then re-install the "Home" button.
I right click the "Home" button, and there is no icon and no visable way to remove or install "Home" botton.
If that fails, remove FireFox/2.0 and re-install it.
Removed, reinstalled, same issue persists....

Went to www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/older-all.html
and downloaded 1.5.8.0 (English), installed it, set the "TABS" options as I like them, and it works fine. They definitely stripped out some of the TABs controls (or moved them to somewhere else in the setup). Compare the two side by side and you'll see the difference in:
