Master Password is useless?

I'm taking my MacBook to Pubcon and it has all of my important passwords embedded in to Firefox 2.0 so I thought to try the "Use a master password" feature under the Security tag.

What a joke! I defeated it by pressing cancel. After the pop up window was dismissed, all of my login info was available. I hit login and it prompted me again to enter my master password. I again hit cancel and then I was allowed to gain access to my site.

Bummer, now I have to remove all of my important info. Sounds like it might have been a good idea... if it worked.
