I want to have links I click on that are coded to open in a new window appear in a new Firefox tab, not open a whole new window. I've looked through Tools > Options, and can't seem to get it right.
Any pointers on what I'm missing? Thanks!

Right click on the link

That works if I know in advance it's going to spawn a new page. Is there a way to make it automatic?

1) Right click on the link + Open window in new tab
OR
2) Just keep the CTRL key pressed and click on the link (note: SHIFT + click on link, opens in whole new window)

also if you have a wheel mouse (or probably also three button) clicking down on the wheel opens in a new tab.

OK, thanks. The Ctrl-Key trick is nice, clicking the wheel is really slick. That's what I've started doing now. But isn't there some way so that it always opens new windows in a new tab instead? If not, do you think they'll add it later?
