Firefox Menu Editor Extension....

Looking for the menu editor for drop down menus...

I can't find the extension I used to have that lets you edit the menu items in BOTH the drop down menus (File/Edit/Tools) AND the context menus. It was VERY nifty and I wish to find it again. There is an extension called Menu Editor but it only edits context menus and it's not what I want.

I have also looked in vain for such a tool. There is no such animal because of the way extensions are inserted I believe.

What you have to do is go through your extensions (mine are up to a few dozen now!) and decide if you *really* need & use that extension, especially if it adds a context menu. Some extensions are better than others and only insert a context menu if the type of right click you are doing is relevant. Others can stack multiple options into a single entry (like my favorite "launchy").

The benefit of disabling extensions is also a quicker startup for new Firefox windows.
