Problems with jubii.dk

Are these jokers for real?

Every encounter I've had with jubii.dk has been dreadful, truly dreadful.

They are in my opinion, arrogant, complacent and uncaring.

You have to fill in near 6-7 pages just for a paid listing, then they want to charge you a fortune for it.

Then they want to charge a small fortune for doing it within 3days as opposed to 6-8wks.

But if you don't pay the extra they do it as soon as you pay the invoice anyway!

You also cannot even use the index in NS6, everytime you click you're directed to some lame text ad on a blank page. Sheeesh!

Complacency is rife in a small country sometimes as there is often little competition or the gap between the leader and the others is huge. Last time I heard they had 50% market share but surely that's no excuse for excluding users and charging way over the odds?

(they never wrote back to me about the NS6 thing)

I really hope there monopoly comes to an end, they need a kick up the bum in this users opinion and the sooner the better.

Is it just Denmark that suffers from this kind of thing or are there other Euro tyrants out there?

Nick! You've not had good relations with them I take it? hehe That's an old fashioned rant-of-rants. I know it gets frustrating dealing with some of the smaller se's that are king of their particular mountain.

You know, you could replace the domain name in your post with just about any other search engine name on the net and it would still be applicable.

"You know how you know if you aren't charging enough? If the room doesn't have any seats left to fill" (- Elvis)

Evidently, they don't have any seats left to fill.

I've had dealings above and beyond getting listed with Jubii, Ilse and a number of other European search engines...so far I've not had a problem with any of them

No, not bad relations, I can't afford too!

They're a little like a company secretary, they may not be the boss but they take your calls, pass on your mail and generally make your life much simpler.

Unless you're rude to them!

Jubii.dk may be one of the worlds most expensive directories in the world but they give you value for money. If you buy all the additional products (bold title, 30 keywords, extra long title, info box...) you will bleed US$ 1,400. Compared to other directories around the world this is a lot of money. However, I'm extremely pleased with the Cost Per Click, which is why Jubii always is my first choice in Denmark.
So bring out your flexible friend ;-)

Lighten up Nick. We are not the jubii support/complaint desk here ;)

As Torben says they cannot be ignored when dealing with danish websites. Period.
But I agree that they know they are important, and adding the fact that they are one of the most expensive portals in Europe to work with, it can seem 'difficult', but done right, the traffic can be *very* rewarding.

As for filling out the submission; a lot of the stuff you have to put in is to your advantage (used in the algo). Then there's the usual contact info etc. - otherwise than that I think it is pretty straight forward.

Well, I speak pretty good danish and have been dealing with them for a long time ;)

Hey, I'm not in need of lightning up ;-) I just refuse to accept bad service without a n opinion. They, compared to other euro portals are not that great and I just think that a little real competition would do them much good.

I also speak good danish, that's not my issue.

Not meaning to start a war here Rumbas, or Torben, but as a user I'm entitled to my opinion :)

>as a user I'm entitled to my opinion

Definitely. We all have our opinions. Another point is if and how we may express our opinions on a public board where we all are but guests.

Pointing out problems with a company is ok, of course. Ranting on the other hand is not encouraged.

That may be hard to swallow from time to time. I'm tempted every once in a while myself...

And who wouldn't be able to start a rant - probably rigthfully - on some company or service.

But I'm sure we all appreciate the rather relaxed and friendly atmosphere prevailing on the board.
