Attempted to visit 2checkout - got a 404. Anyone know whats going on?

I know hackers hit the site recently, is this an extension?

Sellers login still offline at 20:44 GMT!
The buyers pages appear to be ok.

at 16:13 I received an email from 2CO explaining that they had taken down the homepage due to a DOS attack.

This the first time I have received such a communication from 2CO. It could have come sooner but they do seem to be learning some lessons.

Got the email too from 2CO. The main body reads as follows:

"Yesterday the 2CO homepage was taken down in response to the heavy data flow coming from a new DDOS attack. Because the homepage is not critical to clients buying and selling, it was determined that it was better for 2CO to get no signups, than it was for buyers to have a potentially unpleasant purchase experience.

We apologize if this caused concern or made it more difficult or impossible to find how to enter the sellers area or to submit a trouble ticket."

They then provided links to the main sections of their site just in case things go bad again. They have improved recently, the sales and payment sections especially are much faster after the database upgrade. I just hope they continue to improve their security as time goes by.

And I thought it was me. I was looking into serveral processors and 2CO was one of them however since I could't get their web page. I moved on to the next one on my list. And from reading the post here I don't think I'll be opening an account with them. 1 down 4 to go.
