Can anyone recommend a tool for finding a new domain name? Ideally it would search for all domains that include my keyword that have either expired or are for sale for less than $x, plus the ability to specify the TLD. DomainsBot seems pretty good but I think it only includes domains for sale via Sedo.

Of course..someone is going to post such a thing ( that really works ) on a public forum , or even via sticky..

OK, I see, so I guess that's gold.

How about a tool that searches more than one domain marketplace by domain keyword?

Any good tools for expired domains at all?

I'm not looking to flip domains. I build sites and keep them.

If you know the keyword/name you're looking for it shouldn't take all that long to do a whois on the databases. At least it doesn't take me that long. Whether it is expired or not is secondary if the keyword desired is taken... move on.

The shopping list of EXPIRED is probably humongous as these would be, for the most part, the fails that never got any traction, OR are owned by greedy squatters with an inflated sense of value.

How many sites are you planning to create that such a tool would be of any use?

There are expired domains and there are deleted domains. Expired domains may be on registrar auction sites but deleted domains are deleted. And there's over 140 million of those since about 2000. It might be an interesting little project to sort them all by keyword.

I'm not sure. I only have 1 site now but I'm looking to start a few more in the short term.

Any way to search a domain marketplace's inventory by keyword besides Sedo (via domainsbot)?

Which are the big aftermarkets? Sedo, GoDaddy...?
