Handbag maker Coach Inc. has said it has been awarded $257 million and 573 internet domain names, all of which included the word "Coach" in the name.

That post had me worried for a minute until I read the article and saw that all the domains were used for selling counterfits of Coach products.

Coach said it has obtained a default judgment in a lawsuit filed in Illinois Federal Court against individuals and businesses that operate websites selling counterfeit Coach merchandise.

The word "gets" in the thread title might be a bit misleading.

There can be a world of difference between "being awarded" damages and actually "getting" them, if the people and businesses selling the counterfeit products are based outside the US.
