When will an Auctioned Domain's Nameserver Change?

I've read and re-read the GD auction procedure, but I'm still unclear on one thing: At what point will GD change the nameservers from the original registrant's setting to either GD nameservers or the new registrant's nameserver of choice?

Or will GD simply leave the original registrant's nameservers in place until the new registrant changes them?

Have not used GD auction procedure but normally when you sell a domain name the new domain name owner requests via their domain registrar account to transfer to that domain registar via their control panel. The registered owner then has to approve the transfer.

Possibly this is the way it works with GD auctions? I would think so or something similar.

Godaddy typically does not change the nameservers--it's up to the person who owns the domain to change the nameervers.
