I'm puzzled by your question.

Have you never bought a domain name and do not know from where to buy or are you seeking recommendations for a new site and need suggestions as to decide a name selection?

And what does an auction have to do with it?

i think i was not clear much, i have few domains but some of them got quite few Drops on it (which i heard not good for SEO).. so i am planing to buy some new domains.. just wondering some expert advice here.
also for auctions is there any specific thing i need to check before buy domain from there.. i.e godaddy...

If you are very new to buying aftermarket domains then the MOST important step you can take is to educate yourself BEFORE you start BUYING aftermarket or speculative new-reg domains.

I suggest you look at the titles of the threads in the "Library" and choose the ones that have titles that may answer your questions. The thread "pinned" to the top of this forum has links to some VERY helpful discussions of issues important to domain name newbies . . and oldsters too. [webmasterworld.com ]
