Registrar no longer exists?

Hi, not sure if this is the right forum for this but here goes.

According to my records I registered a domain with a registrar hostordomain.com a while back. I've got a user name and password.

However when I browse to the url I get a default IIS web page as if the site/registrar no longer exists.

Searching on Google didn't pick anything up. Anyone know what happened to this registrar?

Cheers John

From the whois history, it looks like it was registered to a Tim Phelan via Godaddy. It apparently was dropped and was reregistered by an Australian operation that resells domains. It is possible that the original owner was a reseller of Godaddy so it might be possible to verify which registrar you should contact by checking the whois for your domain.

Hi jmcc,

All sorted now, the whois data for my site points to a new registrar and it all seems OK there.

Thanks for your help - I never thought of checking the whois data for the registrar domain.

Cheers JB

I'm reminded of the times when I found my "lost keys" in the pocket of the jacket I was wearing.

Sometimes the answers are nearer than we think. ;)

Nice assist, jmcc.
