I bought a 3 letter .us.com on a whim, I'm under no illusions that the TLD is rubbish, but is there a good chance I can sell it for more than I bought it for (£17)?

you may not post domain names in this forum.
see the charter: POSTING DOMAIN NAMES IN THE FORUM IS NOT ALLOWED
FYI, what you have is a subdomain not a true domain name, i can't imagine it's got any value

Sorry I edited it out, by sub domain do you mean like co.uk is a sub domain as well? Also where is the best place to try and sell it?

.co.uk is a subdomain of uk ditto: org.uk, gov.uk, etc.etc
however they are sold by nominet, which is the official uk registry. the name you mentioned is run by a private company in the same way that if i bought:
example.com i could sell/license/rent/lease/whatever names such as example.example.com
