is there such a thing as a list of directories?
I'm looking for info on getting listed on google.

I've heard that I need links to my site, and I should submit to some directories like dmoz.

It would appear that you folks know about these things and I will keep reading the old posts

Assuming, that submitting ones site to directories is a valid approach, is there a list of directories?

I started a list of AddURL sites, including spiders and directories. My approach was to provide a useful tool for the person that performs manual submissions. The sites are classified by PageRank, need for link exchange, need for payment and other info.

I got 300 sites so far, that can be examined and used in <url removed>

Please let me know if this is a good submission approach. We are improving the database all the time, updating sites and adding management features.
