Yelp Clone CMS

Hello everyone,

DO any of you have any experience with a CMS good for review sites? Kind of like Yelp, but with a focus on a certain niche.

Does anyone have any experience with Meeplace? Any recommendations?

It looks nice, but can I ask how you plan on competing with yelp? They seem to be pretty dominant in terms of review sites.

I'm working on something for a particular niche and really the only way I see an opening is by offering a lot more to the businesses that are being reviewed - like allowing them to post lots more photos, or post videos, or post schedules of their events, all for FREE.

So it would be something more like a lot of facebook fan pages but allow more features for the business owners, and then a built in review area for the users.

I do not want to compete with Yelp! The site I'm looking into building would be a review site for a very specific niche market.

I just used Yelp as an example setup.

I thought I posted in this thread already. I must have decided my post was spammy and deleted it once I put my mod hat back on ;-)

I've only heard of Meeplace and can't speak to it, but if it's not what you're after I did a few searches like

Wordpress yelp clone
Drupal yelp clone
Joomla yelp clone

And some pretty promising stuff came up. Can't speak from experience though and obviously you're looking for real recommendations. Wish i could help
