Hope I am posting in the correct forum.
I read through the CMS threads. Some said CMS is overkill, one thread is happy to accomplish similar to my needs.

I have an existing html site [tristatebiblecamp.org...] - nothing complicated. Client wants to add a photo gallery they can upload to and save expense. I want to add pages to the existing site (not redo).

I looked into Joomla - emailed Joomla and they said they do not recommend integrating Joomla into a site.

If DreamHost has Joomla and will install does this mean they will apply security fixes? Their response to my question: "we don't help with Joomla." DreamHost has Gallery, has anyone worked with this?

I looked into Coppermine, but can't find if these can be integrated: as in create a few pages, and link to the website.

If CMS is not the way to go: is there anything simple a client can handle to upload photos? One concern is the photos will not be optimized thus slow loading time.
Thanks for any help.
