I am migrating sites from frontpage (although this question would apply to any platform) to Joomla and am working on the first of these.

I basically copied and pasted the content of pages from the old site to the new site. The pictures are showing up fine without going through the media manager process in Joomla. I had all of the images in a root/images folder.

Is it important to go through the process to move the pictures into the media manager or can I just leave things as-is. ?

I'm leaning toward the 'if it ain't broke, don't go trying to fix it'

thanks

chris

if the pix are now in the images folder of the root, assuming this is where your joomla installation is, then your pix are already in media manager, well not IN media manager, as all that does is upload pix to certain folders.
