I was moving a 4 year static site to Wordpress and was having difficulty in redirecting. Ergophobe advised me that instead of redirecting, why not simply use the old URLs. Thankfully, the site was designed with some consistency in mind in terms of categories (unlike my other and older sites) - so it was easy to use the same old structures using the permalink ergophobe suggested.
I followed ergophobe's advice, and saved me anywhere from $500-$2000 (the quotes given by others to me).
BIG BIG THANKS
Please take note of the nickname - ergophobe - one who is afraid of work. It seemed like pointing you in the right direction and letting you do it was less work than quoting $2000 ;-)
So glad you got that sorted out and can move forward!
he'd be too famous for the likes of us.
But lorax, I am famous. Just nobody knows it. It's a special kind of fame ;-)
