Can you give a bit more detail. It looks like this basically this provides the information that you would get when you look at various reports - available updates and a few others - and it provides an alert system so you get that information without having to actually go to your site.
It looks like you run it on a second host with an SSL connection so you can access the admin area and get uptime reports as well as drupal-specific reports?
